About these terms
These terms cover use of the Synas Labs website and give a plain summary of how our engagements work. Each engagement is governed by its own written scope of work (SOW), and where the two differ, the signed SOW wins.
Using this website
The site is provided for general information. Descriptions of our systems are labeled by what they are, such as internal builds or working demos, and are not client results or guarantees.
Please do not misuse the site: no attacking it, scraping it in ways that harm it, or submitting content you have no right to send.
How an engagement works
- Every engagement has a written scope of work that lists what we will build, what is out of scope, the price, and how changes are handled.
- The Workflow Audit is a fixed-price $99 session. Its full price is credited toward any build you commission afterward.
- Build prices shown on this site are “from” prices. The final price is confirmed in the written scope after the audit.
- Ongoing support and maintenance is a separate monthly plan with its own written terms.
Payments
Invoices are issued in US dollars, or in pounds sterling on request. Any pound figures on this site are approximate and for convenience only. Payment methods and due dates are set out in the written scope.
Production infrastructure costs, such as hosting, databases, and message fees, are paid by the client directly to the provider.
Ownership and no lock-in
- Your business data stays your property at all times.
- Ownership of the system we build for you, including the intellectual property in the work made for you, transfers to you when you have paid for it.
- There is no lock-in. We hand over the system, access, and documentation so you can run it yourself or move to another provider.
- We keep the right to reuse our general know-how, tools, and pre-existing components that are not specific to your business.
Confidentiality
We treat what you share about your business as confidential and use it only to deliver the agreed work.
Warranties and liability
We build with care, and the written scope sets out what we deliver and how faults in delivered work are fixed. The website itself is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Specific limits for an engagement are set in its written scope.
Ending an engagement
Either side can end an engagement as set out in the written scope. Work completed and paid for stays with you.
Governing law
The governing law and place for resolving disputes are agreed in each written scope.
